FAQs for BSF Intro to Financial Sustainability Program What is the BSF Intro to Financial Sustainability Program? BSF and Udacity are partnering to offer a foundational program to upskill youth in finance and the evolving technologies in the banking industry. In this course, you will be introduced to the basic principles of budgeting, credit, and investments to help you manage your personal finances effectively. We'll also explore exciting new technologies disrupting the world of finance such as blockchain. What does this program entail? The program is open enrollment, free of charge, and available to all eligible learners who complete the enrollment application on our website. What does the learner journey look like as part of this program? As a part of this program (open to all eligible learners), you will learn about the foundational elements of finance and blockchain through a tailored course. You do not need any previous knowledge or experience! Because you will be learning all the fundamentals with us! After completing the course, you will get the chance to assess what you’ve learned through a certification assessment. Once you pass this assessment, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from Udacity. Throughout your learning journey, you will have access to an online community platform, where you will get to ask other students for support to help you through any learning challenges or even to network. This is going to be a fun ride! What is the eligibility criteria to enroll? Applicants must meet the following criteria: Submit the online application form here Be 18 years of age or older Saudi citizens across Saudi Arabia Minimum high school diploma English proficiency Are there any fees for enrollment? No, this is a free scholarship What is the duration program? The program is open enrollment and will be available from June 6, 2023. It means a student can join at any time when the program is active and become certified. However, please note that you will only have a maximum of 4 weeks of access to the course from the day of your enrollment. The program is self-paced, which means you can finish at your own pace. How do I enroll in the program? Learners can self-enroll in the program beginning on June 6, 2023. To learn more, please visit the program website here. Until when can I enroll in the program? Applications will be open for self enrollment on June 6, 2023. When is the last day to get certified? You will have a maximum of 4 weeks of access to the course from the day of your enrollment. Is this program online, in-person, or a combination of both? This is a fully online program. Throughout the course, students get to learn through online videos in their classroom. Can I change the email address that I have used to sign-up? You should maintain the same email address you used to apply for the program for the duration of your entire course in order to maintain eligibility for this program. Can I withdraw/postpone studying after I am enrolled? There are no withdrawal or postponing options available in the program. You should only join this program if you are committed to learning within the defined timeline of the program. How many assessments should I expect as part of this journey? There is one summative assessment called the Certification Assessment, which you must pass in order to get certified. How many hours a week should I expect to spend on my coursework in order to finish on time? We recommend that students spend 5-10 hours per week. When can I start my track? You can start your learning journey right after you enroll. Your 4-week validity will start from the day of your enrollment. After you enroll successfully, you can visit your classroom from here to find the content and begin your journey. If I need support with my content, who can I reach out to? We'll have a Discourse Student Community where you can ask questions, get answers, and find support from your peers, student advocates. What do you mean by the Student Community? Once you are enrolled in the program, you will be given access to the Discourse Student Community we've created specifically for this program. This community will enable you to connect with your classmates, support each other's work, answer questions, and share relevant ideas and resources.
