Is the free trial available worldwide?

  • Currently, the free trial is only available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, and United Kingdom but our goal is to offer it to all Udacity participating regions in the near future. Stay tuned for updates on availability in your region.

Do I need to provide payment information to start the free trial?

  • Yes, you will need to enter your payment details to begin the free trial, but you will not be charged until the trial period ends. Once the free trial has expired you will be auto-renewed at the standard monthly rate.

Why was I charged $10 for the free trial?

  • The $10 charge is a pre-authorization hold, also known as a pre-auth hold, which is a temporary hold placed on funds in a payment account to ensure that the account has sufficient funds available for an upcoming transaction. The hold will automatically drop in a few days.

When does the 7-day free trial start?

  • The trial starts as soon as you sign up and receive confirmation of enrollment.

What is the duration of the free trial?

  • The free trial lasts for 7-days, after which it automatically rolls over into a monthly subscription unless canceled during the trial period.

How do I cancel my free trial?

  • You can cancel your free trial at any time before it ends by going to your account settings and selecting the cancellation option.

What happens if I cancel my subscription during the free trial?

  • If you cancel your subscription during the free trial period, your payment instrument will not be charged, and no rollover will be attempted at the end of the trial period.

Can I get a refund if I forget to cancel my free trial?

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for the free trial. It is important to cancel before the trial period ends to avoid charges.

Can I use a coupon or discount code during the free trial?

  • Yes, you can use a coupon or discount code during the free trial. The discounted price will apply to the subsequent charges if you do not cancel during the free trial period.

I received a message stating I am not eligible for the free trial. Why is that?

  • We evaluate our free trial eligibility offerings from time to time. The trial's frequency may be limited for each account. Some payment cards, such as prepaid ones, cannot be used for trials.

Are there any restrictions on content during the free-trial?

  • No, there are no limitations. The free trial provides full access to all course materials, including video lectures, projects, mentor support, and quizzes, just like a paid subscription.

Can I restart my free trial if I encounter issues and have to cancel?

  • Free trials are limited to one per user. If you encounter issues, please contact support to resolve them rather than canceling.

Can I share my free trial with others?

  • No, the free trial is intended for individual use and cannot be shared with others.

How are customer referrals handled during the free trial?

  • Referral credits are not applied until the referred customer converts to a paid subscriber. Customers who refer others using the free trial promo codes will receive credit once the referred customer's subscription is active.

What should I do if I encounter technical issues during the trial?
