How can I access Career Services?
Career Services are available from the moment you begin your All Access subscription and remain accessible as long as your subscription is active.
Here’s how to claim your Career Services:
-
Personalized Digital Profile Reviews (Resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, and Cover Letter)
Head to your Catalog, toggle on “School”, and select “Career Resources.” You’ll find career projects there to help you submit for personalized feedback. We recommend working on these after making progress in your core technical courses so your profiles reflect your most recent skills.
-
1-Year Free Access to Exponent (Interview Prep)
You’ll unlock access to Exponent after renewing your All Access subscription. Once eligible, you’ll receive an email with next steps - so keep an eye on your inbox!
-
Monthly Webinars & Recordings
Stay updated through your Circle community and email notifications for live career webinars hosted by our Career Coaches, plus links to replays if you miss a session. Even if your subscription ends, you’ll still be able to access these events and recordings as a member of the Alumni Community.
Career projects are optional and won’t affect your course or Nanodegree completion. Just remember - if you plan to submit your digital profiles for review or claim Exponent access, be sure to do it before your All Access subscription ends.
Are Career Services included in a standalone ND subscription?
No they are not. Career Services can only be accessed through an active All Access subscription.
Can I access Career Services after I end my All Access subscription?
Personalized Career Services are available only during your active subscription. However, after graduation, you’ll gain access to extended career support through our Alumni Community, including:
Job opportunities shared by peers and community leads
Career-focused webinars and replays
Ongoing networking, mentorship, and peer support
When should I start using Career Services?
You can access and/or claim your Career Services as early as possible, but we recommend submitting your personalized Digital Profile Review to our reviewer network after making progress on core technical projects. That way, you can practice, apply, and communicate your newly acquired skills more effectively.
Is there a cost to use Career Services?
Nope! All Career Services are included at no additional cost with your active All Access subscription.
Do Career Services guarantee a job?
While we don’t guarantee job placement, as there are many factors involved in the hiring process beyond our control, our services are designed to help you become a strong candidate. Learners who complete our technical programs (specifically, programs that are not foundational or introductory) and engage with Career Services are 2x more likely to experience an employment outcome and 1.2x more likely to experience professional confidence and job preparedness.
To maximize your chances of achieving your career goal, proactivity is key. Complete the Career projects, claim your free annual Exponent membership, engage with your alumni and career coaches, and more importantly, know that Udacity is here to support you, whether you’re beginning a job search, making a career change, or gaining new skills for your current role.
Do you support freelance or remote job paths?
Absolutely. We offer resume tips, mock project proposal submission, and insights tailored to freelance or remote-first careers through our 1 month Digital Freelancing Nanodegree.
Where can I find career-related webinars or recordings?
If you’re a current learner, please visit the Learners Community and navigate to the “Event Recordings” section while if you’re an alumni, make sure to subscribe to the Alumni Community and head to the “Udacity Knowledge Bank” to access recordings of past webinars, job search workshops, and expert sessions.
Can Career Services support career switchers or returners? What about already employed professionals looking to progress in their careers?
Yes!
Our Career Services support learners at every stage - whether you're switching careers, returning to the workforce, or looking to grow within your current role. Our Monthly Career Coach webinars and guided projects help you identify transferable skills and craft a compelling narrative for transition or advancement. For employed professionals, we’ve introduced new courses - including the “Optimize Your LinkedIn Profile for a Promotion” - to emphasize internal visibility, thought leadership, and personal brand development.
Wherever you are in your journey, we’re here to help you move forward with confidence.
Do you have any statistics/data to share on job attainment rates for graduates from your Nanodegree programs?
The chances of landing a job offer after completing a Nanodegree program vary widely depending on program, location, industry demand, and the individual’s previous experiences, so we don’t have data to share at this time that would be an accurate assessment for you personally. We’ve helped thousands of students find jobs after completing their Nanodegree program. You can meet many members of the Udacity community who successfully advanced their careers by visiting our Student Success page.
What kinds of jobs do Udacity students get?
Students have found jobs as web developers, UX/UI designers, software engineers, data analysts, instructors, QA Engineers and more. They work at a variety of companies, from Fortune 500 establishments like Google and AT&T, to startups like Nest. Many Udacity graduates have leveraged their skills to launch their own businesses and tech startups.
The modern employment landscape is changing dramatically, with the very definition of “job” being redefined in real-time to incorporate technology, mobility, flexibility, and global connectivity. Nanodegree programs offer students a unique opportunity to successfully prepare themselves for the demands of this new landscape. Students learn the latest technology skills for the jobs most in demand today - Android and iOS developers, Machine Learning Engineers and more - at a fraction of the cost of traditional education.
Can Udacity help me with a work visa?
Udacity does not offer any assistance or legal advice pertaining to immigration, work visas, or employer sponsorship. We encourage you to reach out to a lawyer if you have any questions.
Can I submit my Digital Profiles for review more than once?
At this time, learners are allowed one submission per review type (Resume, LinkedIn, GitHub, and Cover Letter) as part of their Career Services access. We encourage you to make the most of your submission by carefully reviewing the provided guidelines and incorporating as much detail as possible.
Who reviews my Digital Profile submissions?
Your Digital Profile submissions (Linkedin, Github, Resume, Cover Letter) are reviewed by Udacity global reviewer network as per a short course and rubric you are encouraged to follow. Udacity’s global reviewer network comprises a team of trained career experts with deep experience in tech hiring and talent development. They provide personalized, actionable feedback aligned with current industry best practices to help you showcase your skills effectively.
Does Udacity offer 1-1 personalized career coaching sessions?
Not at this time. While we don’t currently offer 1:1 coaching sessions, learners have access to monthly live webinars led by experienced Career Coaches, covering key job search topics, resume best practices, personal branding, and more. In addition, learners are encouraged to build relationships within the Udacity Alumni Community, where many graduates from top global companies actively offer guidance, share job opportunities, and mentor others. You can explore their journeys and career outcomes on our website
