The degree is regulated under the European Higher Education Area (49 countries), but the treaty governing its recognition (the Lisbon Recognition Convention) has been ratified by 57 countries, including Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as Woolf uses the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). While the Lisbon Recognition Convention ensures that the degree is legally recognized in 57 countries, individual universities retain the right to evaluate the specific content of your degree for admission into their own programs. Recognition ensures your degree is treated fairly and transparently, but it does not guarantee automatic admission to every university.
Additionally, Woolf degrees are European-accredited and have been evaluated as equivalent to a US regionally accredited degree. While the degree is legally recognized in Europe, recognition in other countries (such as the US, Canada, or India) is not automatic and relies on local rules.
